Chianti Wine Tour and Tasting

Do you love wine and have an interest in visiting the Tuscan countryside? Then this trip is for you! The “Chianti Afternoon Wine Tour from Florence” is a seven hour excursion that allows you to taste numerous Tuscan wines as well as some of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The tour takes guests to two wineries as well as the fortress of Castellina. The tour company provides an air conditioned coach bus for transport to and from the wineries.

The Chianti wine tour is amazing at any time of year, but if you would prefer to see the wineries in bloom, try to go in the spring or summer. Both wineries have outdoor seating areas for visitors during the warmer seasons that are perfect for overlooking the vineyards. The wineries provide guests with three to four types of wine each as well as two different kinds of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. All of these products are available for purchase at the end of the tasting. They also provide bread, cheese, meat, and biscotti to snack on while you sip wine. If you have dietary restrictions such as allergies to gluten or peanuts, or even if you are a vegetarian, both wineries are very accommodating.

While wandering the wineries, look out for farm animals! There tend to be many chickens and geese running about the property as well as some horses.

This tour specifically is offered in English and Spanish, but there are others that are offered in other languages as well. The guides are very informative, kind, and organized. Here is the link to the specific tour mentioned in this post:
