For many people, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a must-see when visiting Italy. This bell tower from the 1300s is leaning at a four degree angle due to its unstable foundation. If taking a train into the Pisa Centrale station, the walk to the tower is around twenty minutes. This trip is especially great if you are staying in Florence because the train ride is only around an hour long. Along the way you can stop for a gorgeous view along the Ponte Solferino bridge. There are also many charming restaurants and cafes on the way to the tower.

If you are only interested in seeing the tower and the little area around it, allot yourself around two hours. There is a cathedral and a baptistry right next to the tower that are open for tour. You can also pay to climb to the top of the tower and look out over Pisa.

While near the tower, get as creative as you’d like with your photos! Everyone around is either trying to hold the tower up, kick it down, or pretending to hold it up.

After you’ve snapped your pictures, head over to the shopping tents for some leaning souvenirs! There are keychains, leaning coffee cups, sweatshirts, and more!
